Being a mom is one of the toughest jobs…especially when you’re doing it alone. Come together with your community and be a part of Bethesda Houses’ lifesaving work. Learn more about our mission and help us raise critical funds by joining us at an informational meeting, fundraising event, or by making a donation now. You can make an immediate impact in the lives of determined mothers and help provide the necessary support that will help them secure a brighter and more stable future for themselves and their babies.
No one can do everything, but everyone can do something.
If you are interested in joining our amazing team of volunteers providing love and support directly to the moms and babies in our care, we require that you attend one of our 3-hour training sessions. We have needs for volunteers for babysitting, transportation, caring for mothers and babies postpartum, and evening care support (modeling through family-style dining and evening activity). This is your opportunity to learn about Bethesda House, our mission, and how you can use your God-given talents to support Bethesda House where opportunities are flexible depending on your availability.
The training session is three hours but we invite you for coffee and check-in starting 15 minutes early!
At Bethesda House, policies and procedures are constantly changing in order for us to keep up with our unprecedented growth. To keep all active volunteers current, we will be holding annual refresher sessions for all active volunteers. We feel it is imperative that you attend a session so that our huge team can all be on the same page. Consistency is crucial when providing such comprehensive support to the women and babies we serve.
The first portion of our volunteer training sessions will consist of a "refresher" for active volunteers. Please attend up to the mid-session break to complete your attendance. All session are held at the Duxbury Church at 2 Tremont Street in Duxbury.
Please take a moment to review the Statement of Faith that is at the core of our ministry.
