BETHESDA HOUSE IS HERE TO HELP.
Bethesda House is located on the South Shore of Massachusetts and we are here to provide you and your baby a safe and nurturing temporary home. Our newly renovated home has eight single bedrooms, a classroom, playroom, large living area and kitchen. Shopping and community access are within walking distance giving you the independence you need in your daily life.
Your length of stay is determined by your education plan. Graduation from Bethesda House could include all this– and even more:
- Life skills in areas of budgeting, nutrition, cooking and many other areas.
- New ways to be the best mother you can be: childbirth, parenting classes, mentoring and more.
- Completion of an educational program: ie, certificate or completion of an Associate’s Degree.
- Secured employment utilizing your new training.
- Financial stability with money saved.
You don’t need to worry about all the details: transportation to and from school, work, doctor’s appointments etc, is provided by our team of loving volunteers. Baby clothing, gear, diapers wipes are all provided to you. Our family of volunteers model healthy family living and you will leave with practical knowledge and experience to become the best mom you can be.
You and your and baby will be welcome to stay at Bethesda House for two years. The exact length of stay depends upon the educational plan developed. The criteria to apply to Bethesda House:
- 18-25 years old
- Pregnant or parenting your child (child must be under 1)
- No current issues with substance abuse
If you feel that you fit this criteria, and read the Bethesda House Guidelines, the next step is to complete the Residential Application. Once your application has been reviewed, we will contact you to set up an interview.
